Course Description:

· Skills and knowledge to be gained. Acanthus carving techniques.

· Machines and tools to be used. Carving tools and gouges.

· Learning process/procedure. The instructor will demonstrate and guide participants in Acanthus carving techniques as they create a breadboard.

· Prerequisite skills; what level of competency/expertise is required for safe, successful participation. This course requires intermediate carvers.

· Project/product to be made. Breadboard

· Duration of course. 4 weeks

· Cost of materials beyond $10 fee. There may be additional costs for material as determined in the class. Personally owned gouges are required.
