THE
VILLAGES WOODWORKERS CLUB BOARD MEETING
SPECIAL MEETING AT THE WOODSHOP
APRIL 11, 2008
Murry Bishop called the
meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
Board members attending: Murry Bishop, Charlie Shark, Dave Adamovich,
Al Carlson, and John Herega.
A quorum has been achieved
with five of nine Board members in attendance.
The
purpose of this Special Board meeting is to go over the repayment agreement
between The Villages and The Villages Woodworkers Club regarding the new
freestanding dehumidified wood storage building.
The Villages will pay up to
$40,000 for construction and incidentals to be paid back over a 10-year period
at a rate of 5% simple interest with bi-annual payments. The payments will be determined on how much
was actually spent for the construction.
There will be no early pay-off fee.
The general contractors are Sam and Sonny, and they will be the project
managers. They will take care of paying
all the bills and letting us know the final cost of the project. Parking is a peripheral issue but is not in
the building construction costs. It is
not specific but considered part of the project. The cost of creating additional parking will
come out of our own funds and not be included in the building costs. After The Villages gives the down payment to
Steel Master, it will be three weeks until the plans are sent. Construction will probably not start until
June.
A
motion was made by Al Carlson and seconded by John Herega to approve the
repayment agreement for the new wood storage building. The Board passed the motion to accept the
agreement between Village Center Community Development District and The
Villages Woodworkers Club, Inc. unanimously.
Meeting adjourned at 10:10
a.m.
