Three Tips for Using a Hack Saw Blade

 

With its fine teeth and the need to make many back-and-forth strokes to complete a cut, it is always a given fact that a hack saw blade will tend to wander off course without some guidance.  Here are three suggestions for help in making cuts in common situations.

Simple Block

A Simple Block of wood block nestled in angle iron or any open square corner helps guide the blade for a square cut.

 

Rabbeted Guide

Rabbeted Guide. Clamp a hinge between rabbeted guide blocks for a smooth, straight cut.

 

 

Groove Support

Grooved Support. A dado acts as a support and guide for cutting a section of T-track.
