Woodcarvers Group

Introduction

The Villages Woodcarvers are members of the Villages Woodworkers Club that are interested in learning about wood carving. Members of the Village Woodworkers Club are encouraged to join the group. This includes experienced carvers and novices. The group has plans for demonstrations as well as personal hands-on training during the group sessions.

Woodcarvers meet on a regular basis on Tuesday mornings (9 AM-12 Noon), Wednesday afternoons (1:30 PM-4 PM) and Thursday afternoons (1 PM-4 PM). Beginning carvers are encouraged to come on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. They are also welcome to attend the regular Thursday afternoon meeting from 1 PM-4 PM.

Training Classes

Woodcarving classes will be offered and will be scheduled as part of the VWC class schedule and are offered to all woodworker members. These classes are posted on the VWC website under Education.

Beginning carvers can also come to either the Tuesday or Wednesday sessions that are detailed in the Introduction Section for additional training and guidance.
