The "Toys for Children" program has been a big part of the Villages Woodworkers Club activities. The program has provided thousands of toys for children in the Ocala area and other areas who otherwise would have nothing for Christmas. A Christmas party is held every year for a select number of children from the Children's Home Society.
Many of the VWC members spend a lot of their time cutting out the toys and they and their spouses and other volunteers spend time at "toy parties" painting and putting together the toys. Vendors in the area donate parts and money for these projects.
If you are interested in making toys for the 2007 "Toys For Children" program, you can ask at the shop and someone will direct you to the materials and templates to make these toys.
