Woodturners Group

Introduction The Villages Woodturners are members of the Villages Woodworkers Club that are interested in learning more about wood lathe work and wood turning in general. Members of the Village Woodworkers Club are encouraged to join the group. This includes experienced turners and novices. The group has plans for demonstrations as well as personal hands-on training during the group sessions. The monthly Woodturners' meeting is the Tuesday following the regular Woodworkers Club meeting. The Woodturners are a chapter of the AAW (American Association of Woodturners). See www.woodturner.org for more information about the AAW. SPECIAL NOTICES!!!

Meeting Information The Woodturner's Group will meet on Tuesday, February 16, at 7:00 PM at the Shop. The meeting begins PROMPTLY at 7:00 PM. Please arrive early to look over the items brought in and to get your 50/50 tickets. Turners are asked to bring something to share with the group. The purpose of this is to encourage our newer turners to show off their work and gather ideas for new turnings. Bring a piece to share in our Instant Gallery and $2 for our 50/50 and raffle drawings. All VWC members in good standing are invited to the meeting. Guests are invited, so if you have company, bring them along. See you there, Ron Gammon NOTE: John Herega is responsible for lining up the demonstrations for our meetings. Members seem to be reluctant to volunteer for this but he needs your help. If you feel comfortable doing a demo for us, please let him know so he can schedule you in. DON'T BE BASHFUL! It's good experience.
